Jumping Spider by MissFlykt Jumping Spider by MissFlykt
I took this picture in the garden this summer. It was hard to shoot and manage to focus, partly because I hand-held the camera and it was a little wind that day. This picture was the only one I was happy with. I think the fly is really beautiful in the yellow flowers

Gorgeous photograph, did you get her to sign a model-release? BTW: what fly? what yellow flowers? :)

One of your best, which is saying a lot!

Hello! Thanks so much for your nice comment. :-)

I gave the spider the evil eye, so she dared do nothing but sit still;-) No, no, it was just lucky that she sat there for a while so could take any pictures.

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the yellow flowers, and also do not know what kind of fly. I caught it on the picture out in the garden this summer, but it was the same size as a "normal" house fly, I would say.

Thanks so much for your nice words. I'm flattered :-)

Regards/Helena

It is amazing that something so alien in appearance can be found in the back yard. Incredible picture!

Reminds me of a spider I remember seeing long before I got my camera.
